Dr. James Kennedy
Doctor of Chiropractic & Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist
Dr. James Kennedy is a Doctor of Chiropractic with a passion for helping athletes move better, perform stronger, and recover faster. He earned his degree from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY, and has since dedicated his career to bridging the gap between injury rehab and peak performance.
Dr. Kennedy holds advanced certifications in dry needling, functional movement taping, and whole food nutrition. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as CrossFit Level 1 and USA Weightlifting Level 1 certified.
With a deep understanding of both movement mechanics and injury recovery, Dr. Kennedy works with athletes of all levels—from youth sports to competitive CrossFit and weightlifting. His goal is to not only help clients recover from injury, but to help them return to their sport stronger than before.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Kennedy stays active as a CrossFit athlete and basketball player. When he’s not training or treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying engaged in the athletic community.
Dr. McKenley Byrd, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. McKenley Byrd is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation with an emphasis on performance-based care. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University in Clearwater, Florida.
Dr. Byrd has extensive experience in post-operative rehabilitation following orthopedic and sports-related surgeries, with a specialized focus on overhead athletes including baseball, lacrosse, golf, and softball players. He also works closely with military and tactical personnel, as well as Olympic weightlifters, addressing the unique physical demands of high-level training, competition, and duty.
He holds advanced certifications including Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFRT), Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS), Exos Performance Specialist (XPS), Champion Baseball Rehabilitation Specialist (BRS), and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). These credentials allow Dr. Byrd to effectively bridge the gap between traditional rehabilitation and modern performance systems.
Dr. Byrd’s philosophy centers on moving patients beyond symptom management and toward long-term performance. By prioritizing movement quality, progressive strength development, and sport-specific preparation, his goal is to help individuals return to activity stronger, more capable, and more resilient than before.
Dr. Byrd remains actively engaged in evidence-based physical therapy practice and serves as a Clinical Instructor, mentoring future clinicians. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys Olympic lifting, golfing, and spending time with his family, while continuing to pursue advanced education in sports medicine and human performance. He values mentorship, lifelong learning, and staying connected to the athletic and tactical communities he serves.”
